Instrument Technician



Clairvaux Instruments is seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Clairvaux. This is a part-time position with a salary of $1400 per month. We are looking for someone without experience, as we provide on-the-job training. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various instruments used in our laboratory, including but not limited to spectrophotometers, pH meters, and gas chromatographs.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments such as cleaning, calibrating, and replacing parts
- Troubleshoot and repair any malfunctions or issues with instruments
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Assist in the installation of new instruments
- Communicate with laboratory staff to understand instrument needs and prioritize tasks
- Stay updated on industry advancements and new technologies related to instrumentation

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:
While experience is not required for this position, candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:
- Associate's degree in Electronics or Instrumentation Technology
- Previous experience working with laboratory instruments
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to handling chemicals used in instrumentation
