Pastry Chef
We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Lusail. As a pastry chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries for our restaurant. Your role will involve working with a team to develop new menu items, ensuring high quality and consistent presentation of all pastry items, and managing inventory and ordering supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries according to recipes or customer requests
- Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Ensure that all pastry items are presented in an attractive and consistent manner
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies needed for pastry production
- Order ingredients and supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
- Monitor food costs and work within budget constraints
- Train and manage junior kitchen staff in pastry techniques and procedures
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or relevant role
- Knowledge of current baking trends, techniques, ingredients, equipment, and sanitation standards
- Creativity in developing new flavors, designs, and presentations for pastries
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary school preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef or relevant position
Salary: $1800 per month
Nationalities preferred: Indian or Egyptian (non-native English speakers welcome)
