Part-Time Librarian
Description: The Vianden Public Library is seeking a part-time librarian to join our team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-oriented individual who is passionate about books, information, and community outreach. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Library Science or a related field, as well as experience working in a library setting. This position offers a competitive salary of $1500 per month and the opportunity to make a positive impact on our local community.

As a part-time librarian, you will be responsible for assisting patrons with reference and research needs, providing reader's advisory services, maintaining the library's collection, and promoting library programs and services. You will also have the opportunity to develop and implement your own programs to engage the community and promote literacy.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong organizational skills. You should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Knowledge of library software systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification and MARC records is preferred.

This position requires working 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. The schedule may vary based on the needs of the library. The ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
