Mason - Skilled Tradesman for Construction Projects in Muscat, Oman



A reputable construction company in Muscat, Oman is seeking a skilled Mason to join our team. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing and maintaining structures such as walls, floors, and foundations using different types of materials including bricks, concrete blocks, and natural stones.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare building surfaces by laying out work according to blueprints or plans.
- Measure and cut materials to the desired size using hand and power tools.
- Lay out patterns or foundations using appropriate tools and materials.
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it evenly over the surface to be worked on.
- Align bricks or stones according to the design plan.
- Ensure that all building materials are properly installed and secured.
- Repair or replace damaged bricks or stones as needed.
- Follow safety procedures at all times to avoid accidents.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason in the construction industry.
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials, tools, and methods used in masonry work.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow building plans accurately.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time.
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Relevant certification or training in masonry is preferred.

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month. The working hours are 8 hours per day with occasional overtime. You must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Accommodation will be provided by the company.
