Head Chef - Nairobi, Kenya


We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu planning and food preparation to managing staff and ensuring high-quality dishes are consistently served.

Responsibilities:
- Create menus that reflect our restaurant's vision and showcase local ingredients
- Oversee all food preparation, ensuring dishes are cooked to perfection and presented beautifully
- Train and manage kitchen staff, ensuring they follow proper sanitation and safety procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen
- Collaborate with management on cost control measures and ensure food costs stay within budget
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and introduce new techniques or recipes to keep our menu fresh and exciting

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of local ingredients and ability to create innovative dishes using them
- Ability to lead a team of kitchen staff effectively and efficiently delegate tasks
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food safely
- Creative mindset with a passion for cooking and creating delicious dishes

Salary:
