Part-Time Librarian

The Dar Kulaib Public Library is seeking a Part-Time Librarian to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for books and a strong customer service mindset. As a Part-Time Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting library patrons with locating and checking out materials, providing reference and research assistance, and maintaining the organization of the library's collection. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons in locating and checking out materials
- Provide reference and research assistance to library patrons
- Maintain organization of library collections
- Process new materials into the library's inventory
- Assist in planning and implementing library programs and events
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patrons
- Keep track of overdue items and handle fines accordingly

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a library setting
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be available to work weekends on a rotating schedule

Salary: $1600 per month (based on experience)

Location: Dar Kulaib, Bahrain (Preference for Bahraini or expat with valid Bahrain residence permit)
