Contract Baker - Nairobi, Kenya


We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya on a contract basis. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of goods such as breads, pastries, and cakes. Your main goal will be to provide high-quality products that meet our customers' preferences and expectations.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake various types of breads, pastries, and cakes according to recipes
- Measure and mix ingredients to ensure consistency and quality
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust baking times as needed
- Decorate cakes and pastries with icing, glazes, and toppings
- Ensure that all baked goods are visually appealing and meet our quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times
- Follow food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene practices
- Collaborate with other team members to plan production schedules
- Order supplies as needed to maintain inventory levels

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Baker or similar role (at least 1 year)
- Knowledge of baking techniques and recipes for various types of breads, pastries, and cakes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to meet production schedules
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members
- Creativity in cake decorating is considered a plus
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays if needed

Salary: 1000$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Nairobi, Kenya (accommodation not provided)
Contract Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Visa/Travel Expenses: Visa sponsorship provided along with free ticket upon successful completion of contract period
