Carpenter - Contract Position in Muscat


We are currently seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Muscat on a contract basis. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood, including frameworks, partitions, and furniture.

Responsibilities:
- Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required
- Cut, shape and join materials (wood, fiberglass or drywall) according to measurements
- Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings and trim
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Inspect structures to ensure they conform to building codes
- Build temporary supports as needed during construction process
- Maintain clean job site by removing debris and cleaning tools

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter (minimum of 3 years)
- Good knowledge of woodworking machines and tools
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to work in different environments (outdoors, confined spaces)
- Physical ability to handle heavy equipment (e.g. saws) and lift up to 50lbs.
- Accuracy with measurements and good mathematical skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of apprenticeship is required
