Head Chef
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at our restaurant in São-Paulo. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. You will work closely with the restaurant manager to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently served to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation and ensure meals are prepared according to recipes and quality standards
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance
- Ensure kitchen operations comply with all health and safety regulations
- Order supplies and maintain inventory levels
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager on budgeting and cost control measures
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food health and safety regulations
- Good communication skills
- Degree or certification in culinary arts is preferred
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1300$ per month for this full-time position.
