Part-Time Preservation Architect
As a Part-Time Preservation Architect, your main responsibility will be to assist in the preservation and restoration of historical buildings and structures in Jerusalem. You will work closely with the full-time preservation team to develop and implement conservation plans, conduct site surveys, and oversee construction projects to ensure compliance with preservation guidelines.
Your role will also involve conducting research on historical buildings and materials, preparing reports and proposals, and communicating with stakeholders such as government agencies, property owners, and contractors. You may also be required to provide technical advice on conservation techniques and materials.
This position is perfect for someone looking for flexible hours while still being able to use their skills in preservation architecture. The ideal candidate should have a passion for preserving cultural heritage, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. While this position is suitable for men with relevant experience or qualifications, it is open to all genders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in preservation architecture
- Knowledge of local conservation laws and regulations
- Experience in conducting site surveys and preparing reports
- Strong understanding of traditional building materials and techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Hebrew is a plus)
Salary:
The salary for this part-time position is 1600$ per month.
Location:
This job is based in Jerusalem but may require occasional travel within the city or to nearby areas.
Visa:
Candidates must have their own valid visa/work permit for Israel.
