Seasonal Executive Chef in Salalah, Oman
Our luxury resort in Salalah is seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team for the busy summer season. As the head of our culinary department, you will be responsible for creating and executing menus that showcase the best local and international flavors using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare menus for all dining outlets, including fine dining restaurants and casual cafes
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure high quality food preparation and presentation
- Manage inventory and maintain food cost control measures
- Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events and catering services
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu planning
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel or resort setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus that appeal to a diverse clientele
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field
This is a seasonal position with a competitive salary of $1800 per month. Accommodation, meals, transportation, and other benefits will be provided.
