Executive Chef at High-End Restaurant in Acre, Israel
As the Executive Chef at our high-end restaurant in Acre, Israel, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and culinary operations. Your creativity, passion for food and strong leadership skills will be key to ensuring our restaurant delivers a top-notch dining experience to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities according to our restaurant's standards
- Create innovative menus and new dishes that showcase local and seasonal ingredients
- Train, supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including sous chefs and line cooks
- Ensure all kitchen operations comply with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory levels to control costs while maintaining high quality standards
- Collaborate with management team on budgeting, pricing strategies and cost control measures
- Oversee purchasing of food supplies, equipment and other necessary items for the kitchen
- Maintain relationships with local suppliers to ensure availability of high-quality ingredients
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu development
- Continuously strive for excellence in food quality, presentation and guest satisfaction
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- Creative approach to menu development with a strong understanding of flavor profiles and presentation techniques
- Experience managing a team of kitchen staff with strong leadership skills
- Knowledgeable about food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (Hebrew is a plus)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
Education/Training:
A degree or diploma in culinary arts or related field is preferred. Additional certifications or training courses are a plus.
Compensation:
