Executive Chef
Our 5-star hotel in Nairobi is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team for the upcoming season. As the head of our culinary department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and ensuring a high level of quality and creativity in our menus. This is a seasonal position with accommodation provided.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that are both innovative and profitable
- Train, supervise, and manage kitchen staff to ensure high standards are met
- Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies
- Monitor food costs and budget accordingly
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Creativity in menu planning and presentation
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month for this seasonal position.

This position is located in Nairobi, Kenya.
Accommodation:
Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the season.
