Radio Technician


A reputable radio station in Nairobi is seeking a qualified Radio Technician to join our team. As a Radio Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of radio equipment. This includes troubleshooting technical issues, conducting equipment upgrades, and ensuring the overall functionality of the station's broadcasting operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain radio equipment, including transmitters, receivers, antennas, and other related components.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure uninterrupted broadcasting.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all radio equipment.
- Update software and make necessary upgrades to keep equipment up-to-date.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth functioning of radio operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
- Provide technical support during live broadcasts or events.
- Stay updated on industry developments and new technologies in radio broadcasting.

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Radio Technician or similar role.
- Must have knowledge of radio frequency technology and audio engineering principles.
- Familiarity with technical manuals, schematics, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month along with additional benefits such as free visa sponsorship and round-trip ticket expenses.

Location:
The position is based in Nairobi but candidates from other cities in Kenya are also welcome to apply.
