Accountant vacancy in Nizwa Oman

Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Nizwa. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of our company and providing guidance and support to junior accountants. This is a full-time position and we prefer candidates with at least 5 years of experience in accounting.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow projections
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts
- Review expenses and ensure they are within budget
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Provide guidance to junior accountants on complex transactions or issues

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards
- Proficient in using accounting software (Quickbooks, SAP, etc.)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Must have own visa for employment
