Indian Pastry Chef - Ajman
We are a busy bakery in Ajman looking for an experienced Indian Pastry Chef to join our team. As an Indian Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts that reflect traditional Indian flavors and techniques. You will work closely with our team to develop new recipes and ensure the quality and consistency of our baked goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to traditional Indian recipes
- Create new recipes and adapt existing ones to incorporate local ingredients
- Work with the team to maintain inventory levels and ensure all ingredients are fresh and of high quality
- Ensure all food safety standards are met in the preparation and storage of baked goods
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in pastry techniques and recipes
- Monitor portion control, food costs, and waste management to maintain profitability
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably with expertise in Indian desserts
- Knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques, flavors, and ingredients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to work effectively with other team members from diverse backgrounds
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree is a plus
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a busy kitchen or bakery setting
- Proficiency in English is preferred but not required
Salary:
The salary for this position is 900$ per month.
