Head Pastry Chef
We are in search of a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Herzliya. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the production of all pastries and desserts for our restaurant. You will lead a team of pastry chefs, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus with creative and innovative pastry selections
- Train, mentor, and supervise pastry chefs
- Order supplies, maintain inventory, and manage costs
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of various pastry techniques, including decorating, baking, and plating
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely production of all pastries/desserts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
Preferred:
- Certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience/education
- Prior experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant setting
Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Herzliya, Israel (open to candidates of any nationality)
