Job Title: Librarian - English Speaking (Ar-Ruwais, UAE)



We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Ar-Ruwais, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials. You will also assist patrons with research and reference inquiries, organize events and workshops, and ensure the smooth operation of the library.

Requirements:

- Degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Librarian
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of library systems and technologies
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities:

- Manage the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Organize events and workshops to promote the library's resources
- Maintain accurate records of borrowed materials and overdue items
- Collaborate with faculty to develop course-specific resource materials
- Stay current with new library technologies and trends
- Train new staff members on library procedures and systems

This is a contract job with a salary of 1400$ per month. Accommodation is not provided but we can assist with finding suitable housing options. This position is open to all levels of experience. However, preference will be given to Indian nationals.
