Blast Furnace Operator


We are hiring a skilled and experienced Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Nairobi. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the blast furnace, ensuring that production targets and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the blast furnace to ensure smooth operation and timely production
- Control and adjust furnace temperature, pressure, and gas flow to maintain optimal conditions
- Monitor and analyze data from sensors, gauges, and other equipment to detect potential issues or malfunctions
- Conduct regular inspections of the furnace equipment and make necessary adjustments or repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment at all times
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in metallurgy is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Blast Furnace Operator in a steel manufacturing facility
- Strong knowledge of blast furnace operations, including temperature control, gas flow management, and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Physically fit with the ability to work in a high-stress environment for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month for this full-time position.

This job is located in Nairobi. Please note that this position does not include accommodation.
