Preservation Architect


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Herzliya, Israel. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while also adhering to modern building codes and regulations. Your main goal will be to ensure the longevity and integrity of these important cultural landmarks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans and strategies in collaboration with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for restoration projects
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for preservation work
- Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to preservation plans and specifications
- Monitor progress of projects, identify potential issues, and provide timely solutions
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and craftsmen to source suitable materials for restoration work
- Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Strong knowledge of historic preservation principles, techniques, materials, and methods
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
- Excellent project management skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1200 per month. Accommodation will also be provided.

This position is based in Herzliya, a beautiful coastal city located just north of Tel Aviv. Herzliya offers a vibrant cultural scene along with stunning beaches.
