Head Baker

As the Head Baker, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bakery operations at our busy and dynamic bakery in Vilnius. This position is suitable for experienced bakers who are passionate about creating delicious baked goods and leading a team.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train bakery staff, including bakers, pastry chefs, and assistants
- Create and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of fresh baked goods
- Develop new recipes and ensure consistent quality of all products
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary ingredients and supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Manage budget and control costs to maximize profits
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional bakery setting
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays if needed
- Must be physically fit as the job requires standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy objects, and working in a hot environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a head baker or similar leadership role
- Knowledge of Lithuanian cuisine and traditional baked goods is a plus
