Executive Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a upscale restaurant in Vilnius. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operations and ensuring high quality food and service. You will be responsible for menu planning, food costing, inventory management, and training and managing a team of chefs and kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that are creative and innovative, while also considering cost and seasonality of ingredients
- Manage food ordering, inventory, and cost control to ensure profitability
- Ensure all food is prepared according to high standards of quality, taste, and presentation
- Train and develop kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, sanitation practices, and safety procedures
- Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with front of house staff to ensure smooth operations between the kitchen and dining room
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of international cuisine with a focus on European dishes
- Ability to create unique menus that cater to different tastes and preferences
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English
Salary: $1400 per month
