Preservation Architect

As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and conserving historical buildings and structures in the city of Vilnius. You will work with a team of architects, engineers, and historians to assess the condition of these structures, develop plans for restoration or repair, and oversee the implementation of these plans. Your role will also involve researching the history and significance of these buildings in order to inform your preservation efforts. This is a contract position with no accommodation provided, so candidates must have their own biometric passport and be willing to work on a project basis. Fluency in English is not required for this position.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience working on preservation projects
- Knowledge of architectural history and styles
- Understanding of structural engineering principles
- Ability to use CAD software for drafting and design
- Excellent research skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments of historical buildings and structures in Vilnius
- Developing preservation plans based on research and assessments
- Collaborating with team members to ensure plans are feasible and accurate
- Overseeing the implementation of preservation plans by contractors
- Researching the history and significance of buildings in order to inform preservation efforts
- Preparing reports on preservation projects for clients or government agencies
- Staying up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for preservation architecture

Salary:
This is a contract position with a salary of 1400$ per month.

This job is located in Vilnius, Lithuania. While we welcome all applicants, preference will be given to Indian nationals due to their understanding of Indian architectural styles. However, all interested candidates are encouraged to apply.
