Preservation Architect (Kenyans Only)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Kaunas, Kenya. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while also ensuring their functionality for modern use.
In this role, you will work closely with clients, engineers, and contractors to develop preservation plans and oversee the implementation of those plans. You will also be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of historic sites and structures to determine their condition and recommend appropriate preservation methods.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong understanding of architectural history and styles, as well as experience in historic preservation techniques. You should also have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and present your findings and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop preservation plans for historic buildings and structures
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic sites to determine their condition
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to implement preservation plans
- Research architectural history and styles to inform preservation methods
- Monitor progress of preservation projects and make adjustments as needed
- Provide guidance on best practices for preserving historic sites
- Ensure compliance with all preservation regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in historic preservation or restoration projects
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, styles, and materials
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Salary: $1200 per month
