Carpenter - Contract Position in Nairobi, Kenya



We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team on a contract basis in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Carpentry professional, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic carpentry skills looking to gain hands-on experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, pencils, or marking gauges
- Cut and shape wood materials using hand or power tools such as saws, chisels, or routers
- Assemble and fasten materials together using nails, screws or adhesives
- Install structures such as windows, doors, trim work and hardware
- Repair or replace damaged wood materials using carpentry techniques
- Work with other team members to ensure project completion within deadlines

Requirements:
- Indian nationality preferred but all nationalities welcome to apply
- Fluent in English communication (both written and verbal)
- Must have a valid biometric passport for international travel purposes
- Prior carpentry experience is not required but highly preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects

Compensation:
This is a contract position with a monthly salary of 1700$. Working hours will vary depending on project requirements. Accommodation will be provided by the company.
