We are currently seeking an experienced Lathe Turner to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Lathe Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of lathes to produce precision metal parts according to specifications. This is a full-time job with a salary of $1500 per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate lathes to perform turning operations on various types of metal materials
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine the required dimensions and tolerances
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of finished products
- Adjust cutting speeds, feeds, and tooling as necessary to achieve desired results
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments or repairs
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations while operating machines

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Lathe Turner in a manufacturing or production environment
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good manual dexterity and physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of different types of lathes (e.g. manual, CNC) is preferred but not required
