Librarian - Plovdiv, Bulgaria

We are hiring a Librarian to join our team at our library in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting library resources and services. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for literature and education.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection by cataloging, organizing, and maintaining books and other materials
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries, providing guidance on using library resources effectively
- Promote library resources and services through outreach activities such as book talks, workshops, and events
- Maintain accurate records of library materials, circulation statistics, and patron interactions
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop new programs and services to meet the needs of our community
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in library services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Experience working in a library setting or customer service role preferred
- Knowledge of cataloging systems, reference tools, and information literacy principles
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of additional languages is an asset)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1500 per month

Location: Plovdiv, Bulgaria
