Multilingual Librarian

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Multilingual Librarian to join our team in Plovdiv. As a Multilingual Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials in multiple languages. You will also assist patrons with research inquiries and provide guidance on how to access information resources.

Requirements:
- Native proficiency in both English and either Urdu or Tagalog
- Experience working as a librarian or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of library systems and cataloging techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection of materials in multiple languages, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding out outdated materials
- Assist patrons with research inquiries, providing guidance on how to access information resources both in person and online
- Create displays and promote library resources to increase usage by non-native speakers
- Plan and conduct language-based programs and events for the community
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop strategies for serving multilingual populations
- Stay updated on current trends and developments in library services for non-native speakers
- Maintain accurate records of circulation statistics and prepare reports as needed

Salary: $1700 per month

City: Plovdiv

Note: This job is open to Pakistani or Filipino candidates who meet the requirements. Accommodation may be provided for international candidates. No knowledge of Bulgarian language is required. Prior experience as a librarian is preferred but not required.
