Head Chef - Indian Cuisine (Los Angeles)
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to oversee our Indian cuisine kitchen in Los Angeles. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing a diverse menu that showcases the flavors and techniques of Indian cuisine. You will lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards in taste, presentation, and hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative and authentic Indian menu items that appeal to our diverse clientele
- Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and managing performance
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations
- Ensure all food preparation meets food safety standards and health regulations
- Oversee food costing and budgeting to maintain profitability
- Collaborate with management on special events or promotions featuring Indian cuisine
- Stay updated on current food trends in Indian cuisine and incorporate them into menu planning
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques and ingredients
- Proven leadership skills with ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English (fluency in Hindi is a plus)
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in menu development, food costing, and inventory management

$1400 per month
