Accountant - Al Buraymi, Oman



We are hiring a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Al Buraymi, Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank reconciliations and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable functions such as invoicing customers, processing vendor invoices for payment, monitoring customer account balances for non-payment or delayed payments.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all company bank accounts.
- Monitor daily cash flow requirements of the company; ensuring that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements.
- Assist with annual budget preparation process.
- Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
- Maintain fixed asset system including recording of new acquisitions.
- Ensure compliance with local government reporting requirements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA qualification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role preferably within a multinational organization.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards (e.g. IFRS).
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Salary: $1300 per month

This position is open to candidates of any nationality. Part-time work may be considered depending on the candidate’s qualifications.
