Librarian


We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, helping patrons find information and resources, and promoting literacy and learning within the community.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection of books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and other resources
- Catalogue new materials and ensure they are properly shelved and organized
- Assist patrons in finding information and resources they need
- Develop and implement programs to promote reading and literacy among community members
- Collaborate with teachers to support their curriculum needs and provide resources for students
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions, such as loans, returns, fines, etc.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies related to library operations
- Train volunteers or assistants in performing library tasks
- Keep the library space clean, organized, and welcoming for patrons

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Proven experience working as a Librarian or in a similar role
- Knowledge of cataloguing systems, database management, and digital resources
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to assist patrons of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others
- Flexibility to work some evenings or weekends as needed

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1500$ per month.

Location:
This position is located in Abu Dhabi. Preference will be given to Indian candidates.
