Pastry Chef
We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Malindi. As a pastry chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods for our restaurant. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in pastry arts and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare high-quality desserts, pastries, and other baked goods
- Develop new recipes and menu items
- Monitor inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Ensure all food products are fresh, safe, and up to the restaurant's standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
- Train junior staff members on proper techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with other chefs to create new dishes that complement the main menu
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a pastry chef or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of different types of pastries, desserts, and baking techniques
- Creativity and ability to develop new recipes
- Attention to detail in plating and presentation of dishes
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary starting at $1100 per month.
Location:
This position is located in Malindi, Kenya. However, we welcome applicants from all nationalities with valid work permits.
