Library Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Library Assistant in Kaunas, Lithuania. As a Library Assistant, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of the library, including shelving and organizing books, helping patrons with research inquiries, and maintaining the library's cataloging system. This position is ideal for students or individuals looking for flexible working hours.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing and shelving books according to the library's classification system
- Help patrons locate materials and answer basic research inquiries
- Maintain accurate records of borrowed and returned materials
- Assist with circulation desk duties such as checking books in/out, collecting fines, and registering new members
- Participate in inventory and collection maintenance tasks
- Support library events and programs as needed

Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with library systems preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be fluent in English, knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Must have legal authorization to work in Kaunas without employer sponsorship

Salary: 1300$ per month
