Pastry Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at a prestigious hotel in Bungoma, Kenya. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing delicious pastry recipes, as well as overseeing the production of pastries and desserts for the hotel's various restaurants and events.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and executing creative and high-quality pastry recipes
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies
- Ensuring that all pastries are prepared and presented according to the hotel's standards
- Training and supervising kitchen staff in pastry production techniques
- Collaborating with other chefs to create new menu items
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen space
- Complying with all food safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a pastry chef in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to create unique flavor combinations that appeal to guests' palates
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate staff
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
- Experience working in a multicultural team is an asset
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1800 per month, along with potential bonuses based on performance.
