Foundryman

We are hiring a skilled Foundryman to join our team in Malindi. As a Foundryman, you will be responsible for creating metal castings by pouring molten metal into molds, as well as maintaining and repairing foundry equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in foundry operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision and accuracy. This is a contract position with a competitive salary of 1000$ per month.

Requirements:
- Experience in foundry operations, preferably in the metal casting industry
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their melting points
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Familiarity with foundry equipment such as furnaces, ladles, and molds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a hot and physically demanding environment

Responsibilities:
- Prepare molds for casting by applying coatings or releasing agents
- Melt metal using furnaces or torches according to specified temperatures
- Pour molten metal into molds and remove excess material using hand tools
- Monitor melting process and adjust temperatures as needed
- Inspect finished castings for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance on foundry equipment
- Follow safety procedures at all times
