Accountant for a Financial Firm in Eldoret, Kenya


We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our financial firm in Eldoret, Kenya. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions and ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a Malayalee professional looking to establish themselves in the financial industry.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement
- Create budgets and forecasts to help guide business decisions
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes
- Conduct regular audits to identify any discrepancies or errors
- Provide support during financial audits by external parties
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding their finances

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software programs such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.

Location:
This position is based in Eldoret, Kenya. Preference will be given to local candidates.
