Senior Accountant

Our well-established accounting firm is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Eldoret. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a team of accountants, overseeing financial operations, and providing strategic financial guidance to our clients. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bookkeeping
- Manage a team of accountants and provide training and guidance as needed
- Prepare financial statements and reports for clients
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
- Provide strategic financial advice to clients based on industry trends and market analysis
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and investment activities
- Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting laws, regulations, and best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills

Salary: $1600 per month

Location: Eldoret
