Equipment Operator



A well-established construction company in Akron is seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment to aid in construction projects. Your main duties will include operating excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other heavy equipment as directed by the project manager or supervisor.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues
- Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate operation of machinery
- Communicate with project managers and supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols at all times
- Complete daily logs and reports on equipment usage and maintenance

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification or training in equipment operation preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a construction setting
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing, lifting, bending, and operating heavy machinery
