Instrument Technician for Offshore Oil Rig in Khasab, Oman

We are seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team on an offshore oil rig located in Khasab, Oman. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various instrumentation and control systems used on the rig. This is a physically demanding role that requires working in harsh offshore environments for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair various types of instrumentation and control systems including pressure gauges, flow meters, level indicators, temperature sensors, and control valves
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on all instrumentation equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using technical manuals and diagnostic tools
- Assist with the installation of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment as needed
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities performed and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor
- Adhere to strict safety protocols while working on the rig

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting such as oil rigs or refineries
- Technical degree or certification in Instrumentation or a related field preferred
- Experience with troubleshooting PLC systems is highly desirable
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
- Physically fit with the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Ability to work rotating shifts and extended hours as needed

Salary: $1300 per month (tax-free) with potential for overtime pay.
