We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Chef to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. As an Indian Chef, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Indian dishes, ensuring high quality and presentation standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options
- Plan menus according to seasonal availability of ingredients and customer preferences
- Manage inventory and food cost control to maintain profitability
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization at all times
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop new menu items and specials
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Indian Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel
- Knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques and recipes
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of 1300$ per month, depending on experience.
