Job Title: Executive Chef for a Fine Dining Restaurant in Sofia, Bulgaria
The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the kitchen operations at a high-end fine dining restaurant in Sofia, Bulgaria. The ideal candidate should have prior experience as an Executive Chef, with a strong background in creating and executing innovative menus, managing food and labor costs, and maintaining high standards of quality and sanitation. This role requires strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of culinary professionals and ensure smooth and efficient operations. The Executive Chef will also be responsible for training and developing kitchen staff, ordering supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and creating schedules to meet business needs. This is a full-time position with competitive salary of 1800$ per month.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food safety regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop kitchen staff
- Proven track record of successfully managing food and labor costs
- Ability to create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must have own visa or be able to obtain one on their own
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including menu creation, food preparation, inventory management, and sanitation standards
- Manage food costs by creating accurate menu costing sheets and monitoring inventory levels
- Create seasonal menus that showcase the freshest ingredients available
- Train and develop kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, sanitation procedures, portion control, plating presentations etc.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes with attention to detail for taste and presentation
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen area including equipment maintenance
and organization
- Collaborate with other departments such as front of house staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
- Create schedules for kitchen staff to meet business needs and maintain labor costs
- Order supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock at all times
- Conduct regular meetings with kitchen staff to discuss menu changes, new techniques, and any concerns
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments in the culinary world
