Welder
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. As a Welder, you will be responsible for assembling and repairing metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques. This is a contract job with a salary of $1500 per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials according to blueprints or drawings
- Use various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metal parts
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality control
- Operate welding equipment safely and maintain it in good condition
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations while working with hot metals and machinery
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within given deadlines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder or similar role
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of different welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, arc welding, etc.
- Good understanding of metal properties and ability to work with different types of metals
- Physical stamina to work for extended periods standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, etc.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to communicate effectively with team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Welding from a recognized institution or training program
- Previous experience working on construction sites or industrial settings preferred but not required
