Job Title: Blast Furnace Operator

We are a steel manufacturing company located in Mombasa, seeking a skilled and experienced Blast Furnace Operator to join our team. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the blast furnace to produce molten iron for steel production.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the blast furnace according to established procedures and safety regulations
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and other gauges to ensure proper functioning of the furnace
- Adjust controls as needed to maintain optimal furnace operation
- Load raw materials into the furnace and monitor their levels throughout the process
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to maintenance team
- Follow proper shutdown procedures when necessary
- Keep accurate records of production data and report any variations or discrepancies
- Comply with all safety regulations and wear appropriate protective gear at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred
- Prior experience as a Blast Furnace Operator in a steel manufacturing plant is highly preferred
- Knowledge of blast furnace operations, equipment, and safety protocols
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with high temperatures and loud noises
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly
- Willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends if necessary

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month for this position.
