Malayalee Chef in Eldoret

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing traditional and modern Malayalee dishes, as well as managing the kitchen staff and maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Malayalee cuisine, strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic Malayalee dishes
- Create new menu items and specials
- Oversee kitchen operations and manage kitchen staff
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with management to develop cost-effective menus
- Handle customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service

Requirements:
- Must be fluent in Malayalam language
- Proven experience as a Chef specializing in Malayalee cuisine
- Strong knowledge of ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavor combinations specific to Malayalee cuisine
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure
- Creativity in developing new dishes while maintaining traditional flavors
- Food safety certification is preferred
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
