Handyman/Handywoman - Nairobi, Kenya


A reliable and skilled Handyman/Handywoman is needed to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Handyman/Handywoman, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance and repair tasks in residential and commercial properties. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1400$. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including those without previous experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks such as fixing plumbing issues, replacing light bulbs, repairing electrical wiring, etc.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify any potential issues or hazards
- Install appliances and fixtures as needed
- Paint walls and perform other minor touch-ups
- Keep track of inventory and purchase necessary supplies
- Respond to emergency requests and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Handyman/Handywoman or similar role
- Strong knowledge of basic repair techniques and tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
- Good communication skills in English
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights if necessary
- Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification in a relevant trade (e.g. plumbing, electrical work)
- Experience working in residential or commercial properties
- Knowledge of safety procedures
