Radio Technician
As a Radio Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing radio equipment and systems. You will work with a wide range of radio technologies and may specialize in specific systems such as VHF or UHF. Your main duties will include performing routine maintenance checks, troubleshooting issues, and conducting repairs as needed. You may also be involved in upgrading or installing new radio equipment, ensuring that it meets industry standards and regulations.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of radio technology and be familiar with various types of equipment. You must also have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Attention to detail is crucial in this position, as you will need to accurately diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair radio equipment and systems
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on existing equipment
- Troubleshoot issues with radios and communication systems
- Diagnose problems using specialized tools and techniques
- Perform repairs or replacements as needed
- Test new equipment before installation to ensure proper functioning
- Keep detailed records of all work performed
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and regulations related to radio technology
- Communicate effectively with clients or other team members when necessary
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)
- Proven experience working with radios or similar communication systems
- Familiarity with various types of radio equipment (VHF, UHF, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to read technical diagrams/instructions/manuals
- Valid driver's license (if required)
Salary: $1500 per month
City: Beer-Sheva (or other major city)
Country: Israel
Preference for Nationality: Kenyan (or other English-speaking country)
Experience: No experience required (training will be provided)
