Executive Chef
Our high-end restaurant in Al Ahmadi is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional dishes and managing a kitchen team. As an Executive Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations and ensure that our food quality, presentation, and service meet our standards. You will also be responsible for developing new menu items, maintaining food costs, and training and mentoring kitchen staff. The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of experience as a chef in a fine dining establishment and possess excellent leadership skills. Fluency in English is required.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement new menu items
- Oversee all kitchen operations and ensure consistency in food quality
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards
- Manage food costs to meet budget goals
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with management on special events and catering requests
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a chef in a fine dining establishment
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors
- Ability to create innovative dishes while maintaining traditional favorites
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Experience with managing food costs, inventory, and ordering supplies
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred but not required
Salary: $1700/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Al Ahmadi, Kuwait (Filipino candidates preferred)
