Sous Chef - Egyptian Cuisine (Temporary, with Accommodation and Visa Sponsorship)
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our team in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait. As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing the daily operations of our Egyptian restaurant. This is a temporary position with the opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate.
Requirements:
- Egyptian nationality preferred
- Fluent in English
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Sous Chef in an Egyptian restaurant or similar establishment
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong knowledge of Egyptian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
- Passionate about creating delicious and visually appealing dishes
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development of new dishes
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation according to recipes and quality standards
- Train, supervise, and evaluate kitchen staff to ensure consistent high-quality food production
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items to maintain freshness and quality
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area at all times
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards at all times
