Long Haul Truck Driver


We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team in Bungoma, Kenya. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods over long distances, adhering to traffic laws and company policies. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1800$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain commercial motor vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Follow traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips, reporting any defects or issues
- Keep accurate records of duty status, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required information
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers as needed
- Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations regarding transportation of goods
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, refueling, and minor repairs

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a truck driver (minimum 2 years)
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Good driving record with no traffic violations or accidents in the past 5 years
- Ability to drive long hours and travel overnight if necessary
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent
