As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and support of our company's network and systems. This position is suitable for experienced professionals with strong technical knowledge in network and system administration. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of all network components, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and implement necessary updates and upgrades. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security of our network and systems by implementing appropriate security measures and regularly monitoring for potential threats.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain our company's network infrastructure
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Perform regular backups and updates to ensure data integrity
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email accounts, and access rights
- Install new hardware and software as needed
- Conduct regular security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities
- Implement security measures such as firewalls, anti-virus software, and encryption protocols
- Provide technical support to end-users on network connectivity issues
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of new applications or systems into the existing network infrastructure
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in networking technology
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience in network administration or a similar role
- Strong technical knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP), hardware (routers, switches), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtual environments (VMware)
- Experience with Active Directory management and group policies
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Availability for occasional after-hours work or on-call rotation
We offer a competitive salary of $900 per month and a supportive work environment in the beautiful city of Wiltz. This position is open to all nationalities, but proficiency in English is required. Prior experience is not necessary for this role, as we are willing to provide training to the right candidate. However, candidates with a biometric passport and suitable for men are preferred.
